Lincoln's declining poll numbers good or bad?

A poll here in the Natural State revealed that U.S. Sen Blanche Lincoln (D-Ark.) has a terrible approval rating of 36 percent.

I'm a Republican, so I should be happy about that, right?

Well, I'm not so sure. A dyed-in-the-wool rascal of a Democrat may jump in the primaries against Lincoln next year and that bugs me.

Should Lincoln fail at the primaries, can the Republicans pull of a win in a state that tends to send Democrats to Congress?
