Yes, former Razorbacks Head Coach Lou Holtz may be running for Congress.

Sure, he's considering running in Florida, but we can still be proud of our former coach and root for him, right?

Ah, the Internet. Truly, this place has everything.

When you live in a state like Arkansas, your choices of retailers are a bit limited. While I can typically find what I want in stores around here, there are times when I’ve got to hit the Internet when I’m looking for the best prices and largest number of items from which to choose.

For mailboxes – and I’m talking about everything from custom built ones to some that are fairly common – it’s hard to beat Mailbox and Beyond.

That’s a specialty company and the beauty of that is mailboxes and related products are all the site sells. In addition to mailboxes, you can find some address plaques, neon signs and various bits and pieces of home and garden decor.

You’ll also find a low price guarantee and free shipping on a heck of a lot of things. Check it out, huh?

Cartoon -- Couple Discusses Using Cash for Clunker Program:

"It's inefficient, drains our budget, and doesn't work well at all. We should trade it in!
So how much can we get for this clunker?" - - -> Pointing to the US Congress
by Ozark Guru: Well, in 2010, we (the people) have an opportunity to trade in a large part of Congress. Get involved and work to turn America back from the rampant socialist spending and the destruction of American businesses, jobs and the economy and our health care and our WORKING class. Yes, the working class; those who work! Those who have lived free and choose not to surrender their freedom for a few empty promises that in reality strip away everything they have and make them part of welfare class needing the government to decide when, where and how to take care of them.

It seems that folks all over the place are interested in blogging for money and why not?

If you're going to put a lot of time into a blog, what's wrong with getting a little cash for your efforts? Once people jump the "should I or shouldn't I?" hurdle, the next question involves how to make money blogging.

There are a lot of great sites for that so some good advice is to visit several of those "make money blogging" things and pick the ones that are right for you. One site that features some pretty innovative stuff such as revenue sharing, making cash to donate to charities and generally driving more traffic to your site is YouSayToo.

That's a relatively new site so pay it a visit and see if what the folks over there are offering is of interest to you. You can read a brief description of how the site works by clicking here.

Summer is over already?

Yes, it’s the time of year my kids hate – summer is over in a couple of weeks and the little darlings get to trudge back to school once again.

One thing they do like about this time of year, however, is that they get to shop for school clothes. The thing that stinks about back to school shopping, of course, is trudging through one store after another with a couple of yelling kids.

The wonderful, wonderful internet can take a bit of the sting out of that experience. Want school clothes for boys or school clothes for girls? Want free shipping, competitive prices and plenty of sales? Head on over to Zappos – it’s free to look around and you just might find exactly what you want for a price that’s below what you expect to pay.

You could, in fact, put together an entire wardrobe at one site. Not a bad deal at all.

I’m finding myself relying on the Internet for shopping more and more as the years pass. It’s just too convenient to not at least give it a try, right?
