Oh, yes! One of the major two consoles of the 16-bit era -- the Sega Genesis.

I've had one of these little gems for years and still play it. Click this link to have a look of an overview of the system.

These things were a big deal on a lot of Christmas mornings in the 1990s and they're still a lot of fun.

It's tough to be a Penguin fan in Arizona

I appreciate the guest post, Kelvin Armstrong

I grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Well, not downtown Pittsburgh but in the suburbs. I used to ice skate on a lake in the winter. I would play hockey with my friends on that ice, and we would also play street hockey in the summer. I never grew out of it even when my firm moved me to Arizona to run a division of the company out here.

I still like street hockey even though I'm over 40 now. I put on my Mario Lemieux jersey and hit the pavement with inline skates in the Phoenix sun. I can't stop even though there is the oddness of playing hockey in the desert sun. When it is still warm here while the snow is flying back in Pittsburgh, I still haven't lost my fervor for the winter sport of Penguin hockey.

I record and watch every game on my Cable TV. While the neighbors are out barbecuing, they can hear me screaming at the television. I like it when the cameras cut away from the game for a moment when the Penguins are playing at home. The network will show some shots of Pittsburgh. It makes it perfect if there is snow on the ground on a game night. I can feel the crisp winter air, and it always make me long to have a snowball fight.

Black Friday Brings A Successful Christmas

With my checklist in hand I ran over the basics in my mind. Car keys check, home security system from http://www.ALLHOMESECURITY.com set check, credit card and checkbook check, cellphone check, and my husband check. Off to Black Friday shopping we went. Now let me say that my husband is still complaining ever after we came back home because he claims I have wore him out. But it isn't my fault I ended up buying way more than usual. So what if he had to take the car home once to unload it while I waited outside patiently with the other two shopping carts. At least Walmart didn't mind sparing one of their security staff to stay near by during that process.

We ended up on some great stuff though. The Wii was top on our list and that was for ourselves. Next was a big, flat screen to play the Wii on. Goodbye 27 inch bulky TV and hello 42 inch flat screen. And naturally I got my folks something. They wanted a new microwave and can you believe I bought one for $20. I know I couldn't either. I almost bought myself another one had it not been for Mr. Oh no not another thing to carry went to complain that about. But hey tis the season to be jolly.
