A few months ago, the happy-go-lucky crew at First Arkansas News was lucky enough to attract the attention of Dr. Zodiac.
Who is Dr. Zodiac? Not only is he the inventor of the Crystal Quija Rune Board (an incredible piece of scientific equipment), he is a self-described astrologer, master of the occult and general-purpose mystic. Dr. Zodiac agreed to submit weekly horoscopes (he calls them StarForecasts, actually) to us. You can read the current horoscope here and see what the stars have in store for you every week by clicking here.
Enjoy!
Back when I was a kid, I loathed getting clothes for Christmas. After all, clothes weren't much fun and, as such, were treasured by me about as much as a savings bond. Still, I got clothes every year and despised them (thankfully, I've come to appreciate a solid pair of work slacks or a dress shirt over the years).
Now, my kids are different. They want the fun stuff, sure, but they also like getting clothes. That's especially true of my 10-year-old daughter who just loves shoes, jeans shirts and about anything else you can imagine. For the past few years, she's been on a "hoodies kick" and, as such, we generally pick her up one every year. With that kind of record, we appreciate being to do a couple of things when shopping for kids hoodies -- a good deal and the ability to pick something up easily.
Well, thanks to the Internet that's all very possible. You can find great deals and convenience (obviously), but the massive selection of hoodies available online is staggering. Want to see the advantages of shopping for hoodies online? Just click the aforementioned link and you'll be on your way.
Last week, I got a bit of a scare. What happened, my 69-year-old father was in intensive care in the cardiac unit at the hospital in our city. It seems dad was diagnosed with an atrial fibrillation and further tests revealed the danger of a future stroke.
Three days later, I was visiting with dad on my cell phone as he was strolling through a supermarket with my mom. How did he go from being pumped full of blood thinners and being barely able to move to being back home and gaining strength in just three days? Simple -- dad is in great shape. He's played tennis two to three times a week since he was 30-years-old and picked up golf (no carts -- he walks all 18 holes) after he retired. Dad has kept his weight down and has exercised regularly and that has paid off as he's aged.
Now, some of us aren't so lucky. We've let ourselves go over the years as we've focused on careers and other things that keep us immobile and out of shape. There is hope however -- companies like Beach Body have addressed the problem of getting in shape quickly by releasing products and programs such as the Extreme Body Workout. Find out about a ton of products and programs by visiting 90 Day Review.

Back a few years ago when the economy was running white hot, building a business and turning a profit was easier. Yes, people had money to spend and were quite liberal with it.
Ah, but things have changed, haven't they? Ask any entrepreneur out there. Chasing dollars has gotten harder -- it often appears that the same five hands (or so) or reaching for the same buck. Competition has become more intense and there is a clear advantage to those businesses that can get a leg up on the competition. The goal, of course, is to offer that little something extra that will get your business noticed before others in your market. One way to do that is by offering promotional products made by a company that knows what it's doing in that realm -- Promopeddler.com.
Promopeddler is one of those companies that has a large number of unique, attention-getting items available that can be customized with, say, a company logo. Everyone likes free stuff, but they are impressed with cool, free stuff. Anyone can spray a corporate logo on something, but your business will get more attention if you offer something that people will value, use and believe to be unique and fetching -- items such as eco friendly promotional items are all the rage these days and Promopeddler's got those and a heck of a lot more.
So, click one of the aforementioned links and see what the company has to offer. Grab your custom logo and imagine what it would look like on a few promotional products. It doesn't hurt a thing to look and you may stand to gain a lot by getting creative when it comes to thinking of ways to compete efficiently and effectively.
